LEWIS Ludford-Ison scored an injury time goal as Stratford Town secured a fourth straight league victory with a 3-2 win against Long Eaton United.
Ludford-Ison doubled the Bards lead after Paul McCone opened the scoring before the former snatched the points at the death at Grange Park.
And the result means Stratford sit sixth in the Southern League Premier Central table, outside of the play-off places on goal difference.
The Bards deservedly took the lead on 26 minutes as captain McCone tapped in Chris Hussey’s corner from the right at the back post.
And Ludford-Ison doubled Stratford’s lead just three minutes later with an emphatic finish from Callum Ebanks’ pass.
However, some slack defending allowed Long Eaton back into the game on 42 minutes as James Spruce found the net following a simple long ball over the top.
And the home side drew level on 67 minutes when Joseph Nyahwema produced a neat finish from another punt up the pitch.
The Bards left it late to clinch the points as Ludford-Ison struck in the first minute of time added on to seal a fourth consecutive win in the league.
Stratford travel to Redditch United on Monday, November 27 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Valley Stadium.
