CALLUM Ebanks’ penalty helped managerless Stratford Town to a 1-0 home win against Bishop’s Stortford.
Ebanks netted the winner from the spot on 19 minutes at the Arden Garages Stadium as Stratford secured a first home win since the opening day of the season.
And the result means the Bards sit fourth in the Southern League Premier Central table, six points behind leaders Kettering Town who have two games in-hand.
The duo of Paul Davis and Chris Hussey took charge of the side once again with Stratford yet to identify a permanent replacement for former boss Gavin Hurren.
The game’s only goal came on 19 minutes after Dan Lafferty drew a foul in the box and Ebanks smashed home the resulting spot kick.
Stratford are next in action against St Ives Town on Saturday, December 7 with kick-off at 3pm at the Arden Garages Stadium.
