EARLSWOOD Town suffered a 4-1 home defeat against Inkberrow in their first league outing for exactly two months.

Despite Dan Elwell drawing the Earls level in the second half, Inkberrow scored three further goals without reply to seal the points at The Pavilions.

And the results means Earlswood sit 10th in the Midland Football League Division Two table.

The Earls last kicked a ball at the start of February following a series of postponements due to the relentless wet weather as Rhemel Boateng made his debut in defence and Alex Price featured for the first time this season.

Inkberrow broke the deadlock after just seven minutes when Nathan Davies slotted home the game’s opening goal.

However, the Earls equalised on 56 minutes as Elwell found the net from the right side of the penalty area.

The visitors reclaimed the lead on 67 minutes through Harry Bradley’s cool finish before Luke Tildesley put Inkberrow in command when he followed up a rebound nine minutes later.

And, after the Earls handed debuts to Euan Slater and George McArevey from the bench, Inkberrow substitute Josh McKeown completed the scoring in injury time

Earlswood travel to Birmingham United on Saturday, March 16 with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
