STRATFORD Town suffered a 2-1 defeat away at Ilkeston Town in midweek having held high flying Nuneaton Borough to a draw last weekend.
The Bards were on course for all three points at Ilkeston after Adam Rooney’s goal on 63 minutes put them ahead.
However, the home side scored twice in the space of three minutes to turn the game on its head.
Dan Lafferty put through his own net on 67 minutes before Dempsey Arlott-John grabbed the winner just three minutes later at the New Manor Ground.
However, Lafferty was on target at the right end last weekend when he equalised on 25 minutes against Nuneaton after Camron McWilliams had opened the scoring for the visitors on 11 minutes at the Arden Garages Stadium.
The results leave Stratford in 10th place in the Southern League Premier Central table.
Stratford are next in action against Rushall Olympic on Saturday, October 1 with kick-off at 3pm at the Arden Garages Stadium.
