Five-star medal display at English Championships

FIVE medals were won by Stratford & Chipping Campden TKD members at the TAGB (Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain) English Championships on Sunday.

The University of Worcester Arena played host to the prestigious event and both Anastasia Galvin and Isabelle Scannell were gold medal winners for the Stratford club.

Nine students from Stratford & Chipping Campden were among more than 1,500 competitors and there was plenty to savour as Galvin became an English champion and Scannell won an individual bronze and team gold medal.

Lydia Wright and Cathy Frances won team bronze medals and other team-mates who impressed were Jason Wright, Richard Garnett, Ryan Speechly, Zuzanna Cieslak and Junya Frances.

Students competed in patterns and sparring and fought hard throughout the day.
