FC Stratford look to bounce back in top-of-table clash

FC STRATFORD face a crunch clash away to leaders Cheltenham Saracens on Saturday, having wasted the chance to go top of the table in midweek.

Danny Janes’ side were beaten 4-2 away to Worcester Raiders on Tuesday night and remain second in Hellenic League Division One, one point behind Saracens, who now have a game in hand.

Raiders, who moved to fifth, were well worth the win at Sixways, with Kai Mahon netting a hat-trick and Connor Deards adding the other on his debut.

Stratford trailed 2-0 at half-time before pulling it back to 2-1 and 3-2. Lewis Ludford’s corner flew into the net for the first and Levi Steele nodded home an Ash Wilkes cross.
