JULIAN Morris hit a century as Exhall and Wixford CC secured a 54-run against Kineton 2nds to remain top of the table.
Opener Morris has seven different partners at the crease in a 137-ball knock which included 17 boundaries at the John Canning Cricket Ground.
Exhall closed on 256-7 with Kineton only able to reach 202-8 in reply despite a half-century from Asaad Qureshi.
The result means Exhall remain clear at the top of the Cotswold Hills League First Division table.
Exhall won the toss and elected to bat as Craig Atherton (25) and Morris (112) put on 61 runs for the first wicket.
However, the home side lost Atherton and Alexander Brown (0) in consecutive balls in the 15th over as Terry Brown (4-28) halted Exhall’s momentum.
Morris found support at the crease from skipper William Green (40) who hit five fours and two sixes in a 26-ball knock.
And Morris went on to record a century while Martin Park (26) and Barry Weston (27 not out) added quick runs to help Exhall pass the 250-run mark.
Kineton made a strong start with the bat in reply as Qureshi (51) hit a 64-ball half-century in a 53-run first-wicket partnership with Elliott Ferris (13).
Richard Layton (2-37) broke up the stand before Green (1-25) trapped Ricardo Rebelo (4) LBW and Robert Perry (1-22) finally removed Qureshi.
And Layton returned to remove Steven Dawber (1) as Kineton slipped to 90-4.
Middle order runs from Kallum Dixey (40), Fraser Lindsay (14) and Lee Riley (11) pushed Kineton towards the 200-run mark.
However, the visitors could not score runs at a quick enough rate as Stefan Troye (1-23), Weston (1-29) and Tom Richardson (1-61) all chipped in with wickets to secure a 54-run win for Exhall.
Exhall are next in action against Long Itchington on Saturday, July 25 with play to begin at 12.30pm at Whitehall Farm.
Elsewhere, the club’s second XI cruised to a 110-run victory away at Elmley Castle as Khurram Mirza and Bob Sellicks recorded half-centuries.
Exhall won the toss and elected to bat as openers Andy Wood (16) and Usman Jamil (20) put on 34 runs for the first wicket.
Mirza (73) scored at a rate of just under a run a ball and hit 12 boundaries in a 74-ball innings.
He found support at the crease from Elliott Rosewell (23) before Sellicks (58) blasted a half-ton from 37 balls which included nine fours and a six.
Elmley bowled Exhall out for 261 in 39.1 overs as Matt Ormerod (3-7) starred with the ball for the home side in a devastating three-over spell.
Exhall made early inroads in Elmley’s reply as Andrew Goodread (1-18) removed Jonathan Nosworthy (1) and Mirza (3-28) bowled James Cartwright (9).
Mirza also claimed the scalp of Ormerod (10) and Hayden Buttle (0) as Elmley slumped to 26-4.
The wickets continued to tumble as Sellicks (2-38) bowled Elmley opener Robin Eaton (13) while Jason Brown (2-44) accounted for Alistair Slade (1).
And Sellicks returned to take the wicket of Tom Attwood (28) which left the home side struggling on 65-7.
Harry Nosworthy (50) and Oscar Williams (22) combined for a 67-run eighth-wicket stand before Reeve Carter (1-15) broke up the partnership.
Brown removed Mark Slade (0) for a duck before Ben Price (1-6) ended H Nosworthy’s time at the crease with Elmley all out for 151 in 33.4 overs.
The result means Exhall remain top of the Cotswold Hills League Division Five West table.
