STRATFORD AC athletes raced over the Easter weekend at the Draycote Water Running Festival and Mallory Park Spring 5k.
Max Ross was the first Stratford vest in action as he achieved a new personal best (PB) of 1 hour 26 minutes and 15 seconds in the Draycote half marathon to finish fourth in a field of 90 runners.
And John Butler also took to the course in the veteran 75 age category in the 10k race coming home in 1 hr 15 mins and 50 secs which fell just short of his previous best efforts at Draycote despite still recovering from his booster jab.
Elsewhere, Maddie Linfoot impressed at Mallory Park in Leicestershire as she finished fourth in the under-15 girl’s category.
Maddie completed the course in a time of 19 mins and 9 secs to achieve a new PB and now hopes to break the 19-minute barrier in her upcoming races.
