SHIPSTON Leisure Centre is getting a £175,000 revamp.
The refurbishment, which includes new changing facilities has been jointly funded by operator Everyone Active and Stratford District Council.
The existing village changing area, group changing area and toilets will be transformed to offer improved accessibility, while new cubicles, lockers and showers will be installed.
The project is expected to be completed in early September.
The swimming pool and gym will remain open during the works, but changing facilities and showers will be closed.
People using the swimming pool are invited to attend the leisure centre swim ready. Secure storage for bags and belongings will be offered poolside.
Richard Bell, Everyone Active’s area contract manager, said: “We’re thrilled to kick start this brilliant refurbishment, which is fantastic news for the local community and brings these areas up to the state-of-the-art standards we have in place throughout the leisure centre.

SDC’s neighbourhood spokesperson Coun Lorraine Grocott added: “This investment in Shipston Leisure Centre, which will provide modern, accessible and welcoming changing facilities.
