A WOMAN has been charged with nine offences including theft and assault in Stratford.
Jasmine Cathey, of no fixed address, has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, racially aggravated assault, robbery, fraud by false representation, common assault, two counts of assault by beating, and two counts of theft from person.
The 25-year-old was set to appear in Coventry Magistrates Court on Monday (July 22) for her first hearing.
On August 19 2023, a man was allegedly followed by an unknown woman through Stratford, before tripping over. He was then reportedly kicked by the woman, before the woman allegedly took his smart phone, chain necklace, and coat – approximately £1,400 worth of items.
On June 17 2024, a man was walking down Alcester Road in Stratford, when a woman allegedly starting harassing him from a bicycle in a racist fashion, before reportedly ramming into him with her bicycle and blocking his path. The woman then allegedly proceeded to punch the man in the face.
On June 22, a woman allegedly approached another woman at a bar on Rother Street in Stratford, claiming to have been sexually assaulted. The woman who claimed to have been assaulted then allegedly proceeded to steal the victim’s handbag and cycle away before using her bank card for several purchases.
A man left a bar on Union Street in Stratfor, on June 28 before reportedly realising he was being followed by a woman down the road. The woman then reportedly took his phone, car keys, and wallet.
On July 19 a man was allegedly attacked while walking his dog down Shottery Road in Stratford. A woman allegedly grabbed his dog, spat in his face, and bit his arm, resulting in injury.
A woman allegedly asked another woman for money on July 20 near to a supermarket on Alcester Road in Stratford. The victim reportedly entered the supermarket to get her a meal deal, but on giving this to the woman who had asked for money, was allegedly attacked with a wheelchair and spat at.
On the same day, a woman allegedly approached an elderly woman and asked for food, money, and water. The woman then reportedly proceeded to throw an unknown blue liquid over the elderly woman.
And also on July 20, a woman allegedly offered a woman a sandwich, to which the woman reportedly refused and demanded a milkshake and different sandwich. When the woman declined this the other woman allegedly placed her hand in her pocket and mentioned a knife, before chasing the woman.
