A WINTER warmth event is being held in the district for residents struggling to heat their homes.
Act on Energy is hosting the event at the Eric Payne Centre in Alcester on Saturday (November 25) from 2pm to 4.30pm.
There will be a chance to receive advice and ask questions about energy efficiency support and schemes.
Stratford District Council is working with local energy experts Act on Energy to help administer winter warmth grant funding. The new schemes available are the Home Upgrade Grant, the Energy Support Fund and the Physical Intervention Fund.
SDC leader Coun Susan Juned has said: “These funding schemes aim to assist as many residents as possible. I hope and strongly encourage residents to attend the community event on Saturday to learn more about how to lower fuel costs and prevent the health problems that arise from damp and mould in housing.”
The schemes all have different eligibility criteria which are listed on SDC’s website at https://www.stratford.gov.uk/people-communities/energy-advice.cfm
