WATERSIDE Upmarket in Stratford has a new selling point.
It has been declared Best Large Outdoor Market at the National Association of British Market Authorities One Day Conference 2026.
The popular market has over 90 stalls every Sunday and Bank Holiday (March to December) and takes place against the backdrop of the River Avon and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The market is run in partnership with LSD Promotions Ltd and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025.
Stratford District Council’s neighbourhood services spokesperson Coun Lorraine Grocott said: “This national recognition is a fantastic achievement for Stratford. Our market is a vibrant showcase of local enterprise and community spirit, and winning Best Large Outdoor Market is a testament to the traders, officers and partners who make it thrive.”

The Waterside Upmarket will reopen in Stratford on Sunday March 1.
