TV antique expert comes to Alveston valuation

Stratford Editorial 26th Jun, 2017   0

EVER wondered what that wartime dress hanging in grannies wardrobe might be worth? Or whether that 1980’s Chanel suit never worn is of any value?

A free Hanson’s specialist valuation day for all manner of vintage costume and textiles is being held at The Malt House in Alveston on Friday, from 1pm to 4pm.

Antiques expert Notty Hornblower, as see on Antiques Roadshow, will be casting an expert eye over anything textile related, from very early embroidered textiles, through to Victorian and Edwardian garments to cocktail dresses from the jazz age of the 1920’s, Second World War utility wear, 1950’s Dior glamour or even 1980’s power dressing.

There will also be a general valuer on hand to advise on gold, silver, watches, antiques and collectables.

Refreshments will be sold in aid of the NSPCC.
