TRANSPORT Minister Anthony Browne was hoping for a smooth ride when he visited Wootton Wawen to see how the government’s pothole project was progressing.
The minister visited the works on the A3400 to witness first hand potholes being fixed.
Mr Browne discussed the economic benefits of the works with local council members, including how resurfacing work will improve journey times and reduce delays between Stratford and the M40/A3400 interchange at Lapworth, and Henley and its rural neighbours.
He also saw the innovative technology being used in Warwickshire, including strategic management software that allows highways officers to prioritise the most urgent projects according to road usage levels and proximity to schools and other important services.
