The Shakespeare Hospice to hold volunteer recruitment day

THE SHAKESPEARE Hospice is inviting residents to its Volunteer Recruitment Day.

The event takes place from 10am until 2pm on Saturday (January 20) at the hospice’s furniture and homeware store on Avenue Farm Industrial Estate in Stratford.

Prospective volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about The Shakespeare Hospice and the volunteering opportunities available. They will also be able to speak with current volunteers and staff to explore the variety of roles available, including in its six charity shops in the area.

Hospice spokesperson Becky Fuller said: “Our dedicated volunteers play a crucial role in helping us fulfil our mission. This Volunteer Recruitment Day is a fantastic chance for individuals to discover the profound impact they can have while being part of The Shakespeare Hospice family. We encourage all community members, regardless of age or background, to join us.

“Not only will you be supporting those in your community who need it most, but you will meet new people, make new friends and have fun. You may even learn some new skills, which is ideal for those looking at future employment or a career change. Whether you have a few hours to spare each week or can contribute on a more flexible basis, there’s a volunteer opportunity waiting for you.”
