THE SHAKESPEARE Hospice’s latest fundraiser is win-win.
The charity has launched its Sizzling Summer Raffle, giving supporters the chance to win a top prize of £1,000.
Participants are invited to purchase tickets for £1, with every entry helping the hospice continue providing expert care and compassionate support to people with life-limiting conditions.
As well as a top prize of £1,000, there are also cash prizes of £500 and £250 available, plus 11 runner-up prizes of £25.
Senior fundraising manager Sarah Wakeman said: “At The Shakespeare Hospice, we’re here to make sure that those who are affected by life-limiting conditions don’t face their journey alone — from the moment of diagnosis, through every stage of care, right to the very end. Our clinical team don’t just step in at the final stages. They are there early on, offering advice, reassurance, and practical support.
“And it’s not just nursing care. Thanks to our supporters, we also offer services that bring people together for companionship, creative therapies, counselling, and a break from the isolation that life-limiting conditions can bring.
“Every ticket bought in our 2025 Sizzling Summer Raffle helps fund this kind of care — the kind that sees the whole person, not just their condition.”
