A TEAM of accountants has raised hundreds of pounds for The Shakespeare Hospice after reaching the knockout stage of a national football tournament.
Burgis & Bullock sent a team of seven players to Manchester to compete in the Business Fives charity football tournament, raising £550 for the Shottery-based hospice in the process.
The team made it through the group stage but injuries hampered their progress and they were knocked out from the tournament in the first knockout round.
Sam Hale led the team to Manchester to compete in the 46-team tournament after Burgis & Bullock ran out victorious in the regional event earlier this year.
And while Burgis & Bullock may not have come away with the trophy on the pitch, they are continuing to raise vital funds for The Shakespeare Hospice that provides community-based care and support to patients across south Warwickshire.
