A FREE community sale and swap event is being hosted by Stratford Town Trust on Sunday September 21.
The event, running from 10am until 2pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, will include free bike repairs, pre-loved baby items and school uniform for sale, free scissors and secateurs sharpening, crafting activities, a give and take stand and small tabletop sale. Free parking will be available.
It supports Second Hand September, an annual campaign that encourages people to avoid buying new clothes for the entire month of September and is part of a number of green initiatives the Trust are involved with, including the monthly Repair Cafe in partnership with Net Zero Stratford which aims to reduce waste and cut costs.
Trust community hub manager Fran Nibbs said: ‘We’re delighted that Crowne Plaza Hotel are hosting this event where we are encouraging our local community to embrace pre-loved, repair rather than throw away and grab a bargain.”
