Surge in applications for Art in the Park in Leamington

Stratford Editorial 13th Mar, 2024   0

A SURGE of artists applied to take part in this year’s Art in the Park in Leamington.

The annual art festival, held each August in Jephson Gardens, received almost 300 applications from artists this year – around 100 more than last year.

This follows on from a successful festival last summer with over 38,000 visitors despite it being held on a damp weekend.

AITP is a free curated arts festival showcasing, selling and providing live demonstrations from artists and craftspeople in Warwickshire and the Midlands.

It is a great way for artists to connect with their supporters and expose themselves to potential buyers.

And due to the increase in applications this year, AITP has increased the allotted number of artists on display to allow for even more art to be viewed throughout the weekend.

A total of 225 artists have been selected while those that have never applied, as well as those who weren’t selected this year, should begin to get their applications ready for AITP 2025 as the number of applicants is expected to rise again.
