Stratford welcomes Victoria Alcock as new mayor

Maisie Jeynes 24th May, 2017

STRATFORD’S youngest ever mayor has taken up the chains of office.

Victoria Alcock has taken over from Juliet Short, with John Bicknell as deputy mayor.

Originally from Great Yarmouth, Victoria moved to Stratford when she was 18 to study performing arts. She met her husband Gary in 1998 and they now have three children.

Victoria has been a town councillor for seven years, and also runs her own company, Boo Boo Balloons. She is an active member of Networking Mummies UK, recently winning their ‘Networker of the Year’ award.

During her year in office, Victoria will be supporting Mencap Heart of England, Stratford Sea Cadets and Welcombe Hills Sixth Form.
