Stratford Sunday Lunch Club secures three defibrillators for the town

SUNDAY lunch at The Coach House in Stratford will lead to three new defibrillators for the town.

Jo Wheelwright-Horne hosted a hugely successful Stratford Sunday Lunch Club’s at the Rother Street pub – raising £5,000.

The money will be used to pay for three defibrillators – located at The Coach House, Caz Bar and at The Boat House.

An additional £500 was also raised for Avon Cat Rescue.

Jo said: “We’re over the moon to have raised such a fantastic amount, it means we will be delivering three defibrillators, for use in Stratford.

“These machines really do save lives by buying much-needed time for people whilst awaiting ambulances.

“The attendees of the lunch were all so generous, they are a great bunch who bought raffle tickets for some wonderful prizes whilst also making personal donations.

“Everyone had a fabulous day, they enjoyed great food and service from the team at The Coach House, as well as some brilliant live entertainment.”

Linzi Toon, general manager of The Coach House added: “We loved hosting the Sunday Lunch Club, they are a fabulous group of people who know how to enjoy themselves whilst helping others.

“It was an absolute pleasure to look after them, and support the fundraising initiatives with some great prizes.”

The Stratford Sunday Lunch Club has raised just over £58,000 for a variety of charities, and has more events planned.
