Stratford stages arty Fun Palaces event

STORY writing, singing and Shakespeare are just some of the treats in store at Fun Palaces in Stratford.

The annual event celerating arts and culture returns to the town on Saturday October 7.

And Stratford Town Trust, The Royal Shakespeare Company, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Stratford Library have all got together to put on a host of events.

Activities are free and take place from 10am until 3pm at each venue.




There will be a magical story writing workshop inspired by RSC winter shows, Box of Delights and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Waterside.

Drumming, singing, crafts and activities with be run by Stratford Town Trust at Crowne Plaza in Bridgefoot.


Print making, writing with a quill and create your own friendship bracelet to take home activities will be on offer at the top of Henley Street, near the entrance to Shakespeare’s Birthplace, delivered by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

And Shakespeare readings, poetry, digital music making and children’s activities are being held at Stratford Library in Henley Street.
