FRESH off the stage at local music festival SnittLife, an 18 year-old Stratford singer-songwriter is on an upward trajectory.
Lolita debuted her new single Get Down at Snitterfield Sports Club at the beginning of September and now has her sights set on the BBC introducing stage.
Her journey started at just three years-old,when she began learning music at The Croft School, before mastering a range of instruments, including the violin.
A natural performer, Lolita later attended Stratford High School and eventually moved to Birmingham Ormiston Academy to study music, where she achieved three distinction stars in her course.
Lolita said: “Music has always been my voice. Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by it, and as soon as I began performing, I knew this was what I was meant to do.”
Her career took off when she released her debut single Sold on her 18th birthday in March, from her first EP, which features six original tracks. Since then, Lolita has released two more singles, Runnin’ Away and most recently Get Down.
Lolita has a history of dazzling crowds starting at just eight years-old when she was discovered by Rozie T while dancing in a hotel foyer.
She went on to join the prestigious Rozie T Dance Academy in 2017, performing on grand stages including Euro Disney and winning national competitions in Blackpool.
Her love for singing blossomed as she started performing for local charity events at just 11, eventually landing her a spot on the pre-show stage at Resorts World Arena. This opportunity marked the beginning of her songwriting career.
Lolita has over 200,000 followers on TikTok, where she has built a strong and loyal fanbase – sharing her journey and music with followers who have supported her since she gained national attention at just 14 when she was added to the Famous Birthdays platform. Lolita added: “Performing at Snitfest Live was brilliant as its part of my local community. The energy of the crowd was unreal, and I felt such a strong connection with everyone there. I’m so grateful for the support from my hometown as I continue to chase my dreams.”
