Struggling Stratford residents receive a vitamin boost

STRUGGLING Stratford residents are being given a vitamin boost.

Ogle Pharmacy in Pershore has donated 350 bottles of vitamin D tablets to Municipal Charities of Stratford.

The vitamins have been added to the warm packs that are being handed out to those suffering from the cold and raised energy prices, as well as the town’s almshouse residents.

William Clemmey, chief officer of Municipal Charities, said: “We are so grateful on behalf of the warm pack recipients to Ogle Pharmacy for the donation of these 350 bottles of vitamin D tablets.

“The NHS strongly encourages people to take a vitamin D tablet each day during the winter months to improve their health. We approached Ogle Pharmacy to purchase these vitamins from them and were overwhelmed when they generously gave them to us for free.”

The warm packs also contain socks, a scarf, gloves, a hat, a blanket, a Mug and a hot water bottle.
