YOUNGSTERS from Stratford made a splash at a national primary school swimming competition.
Alex Scott, Alexa Wilson, Daniel Truscott, and Mollie Gillam from St Gregory’s Primary School went head-to-head with the best teams from other small schools across the country at the English Schools’ Swimming Association National Primary Championships at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge.
The young athletes, who also swim for Stratford Sharks, qualified for the B Finals in both of their relay events and clinched victory in both.
Their performances earned them a ranking of ninth place overall in England for small schools in freestyle and eighth place overall in England for small schools in the medley.
