A FEAST for the eyes, as well as the taste buds, was served up by a Stratford opticians to bank cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Staff at Specsavers in Wood Street took part in the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning by holding a bumper cake sale – raising £245.
Customers were able to get their hands on some sweet treats in return for a small donation.
Store director Andrew Eaves said: “We’re always keen to take part in fundraising in-store, and our customers and the local community are always so supportive of our efforts. We’re thrilled to have raised £245 for Macmillan, and want to say a big thank you to everyone who got behind us on the day.”
The Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is their largest fundraising event and the initiative has raised over £290 million to date. The charity aims to help those affected by cancer by ensuring nobody faces it alone.
