A HOTEL in Stratford is set to house asylum seekers.

Stratford District Council (SDC) has been informed by the Home Office that a hotel in the town will be used as part of the government’s dispersal policy for housing individuals seeking asylum into the UK.

The hotel, which has not been named, will be closed to the public during this time.

A statement on SDC’s website reads: “SDC will be working with partners and other agencies to support the individuals seeking asylum while their asylum applications are processed.”
