WINTER fundraisers at Stratford Foodbank have raised an impressive £12,320.
Local primary school children kicked off the season of giving by taking part in a sponsored Rudolph Run, tying up their laces and donning festive antlers to support families facing hardship. Their efforts raised £6,319.30, thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of pupils, staff, and families at Hampton Lucy Primary School, Stratford Preparatory School, Bidford Primary School, Quinton Primary School, and Snitterfield Primary School.
The foodbank’s first ever Christmas appeal, ‘A Parcel of Hope’, also saw remarkable support. The campaign raised £6,001, with donations helping to fund vital services for people experiencing financial crisis.
Fundraising officer Isla Stroyan said: “We are completely blown away by the success of our winter campaigns. The combined total of £12,320.30 is enough to provide around 480 hours of specialist welfare and debt advice to our clients, helping lift them out of poverty and get their lives back on track. We are so grateful to the Stratford-upon-Avon community, whose unwavering support helps ensure no one faces hardship alone.”
