Stratford Food Festival returning to town

Stratford Editorial 21st Sep, 2017   0

FOODIES can enjoy a range of tasty treats at this year’s Stratford Town Centre Food Festival.

Nearly 100 stalls will be available around the town this weekend, selling food and drink from local and regional businesses.

The free festival pulled in thousands of punters with last year’s offering, and organisers Stratforward hope this weekend’s event will be bigger and better than ever.

Workshops from sausage-making to mixing cocktails will be available, along with the ever-popular taste trail – which promises to take visitors on a tour of some of the town’s most popular eateries.

A spokeswoman said: “The free festival is one of the highlights of the calendar in Stratford, with a bustling producers’ market, demonstrations and hands-on workshops and popular trails taking visitors to many of the town’s independent businesses.

“This year’s festival features the national launch of a brand new beer, a sneak peek at a Michelin-starred chef’s plans for a new Stratford restaurant and an evening with highly-acclaimed chef Yotam Ottolenghi in partnership with the Literary Festival.”
