STOMACHS are rumbling as organisers announced that Stratford Food Festival has been rescheduled due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The three-day food-tastic event was set to take place in the town centre on Friday (September 16), Saturday (September 17) and Sunday (September 18).
But instead, the hugely-popular festival will be moved to the end of the month while locals digest the news of the Queen’s death on Thursday (September 9).
Stratford BID, the food festival’s organisers, wrote on their Twitter page: “The Stratford BID team alongside our sponsors and partners involved in the event, are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
“We would like to send our deepest condolences to the whole of the Royal Family and all who loved her.”
The new dates for Stratford Food Festival are Friday (September 30), Saturday (October 1) and Sunday (October 2).
