Stratford fashion students put on their end of year show

Stratford Editorial 19th Jul, 2022   0

STYLE-savvy students from Stratford College rocked the runway when they showed off their creations at an end of year fashion show.

The event was held at Bell Court in Stratford before a crowd of fashion-lovers, who were entertained before the show got underway by Stratford College’s music and dance students.

Students studying fashion and make-up prepared various looks as part of their final major projects. They were responsible for the whole show from design to creation and they pitched in as models too.

Inspiration included the devastation of war as student Emily Grant produced the look of a war-injured amputee.

Natasha Witte was inspired by the fantasy module and created a fantasy creature based on the colours and science of tropical wildlife and plants.

Stephanie Kitchener produced a 1920s gangster-inspired jumpsuit, while Evelyn Hughes was inspired by childhood dreams and memories and created a piece covered in childlike drawings.

Mayor of Stratford Gill Cleave watched the show and stayed behind afterwards to congratulate the students.
