STRATFORD upon Avon Boat Club will be taking time out from rowing this Sunday to remember those who died in world wars and other conflicts past and current.
This year, there will be also brief mention of Francis Percival Hitchman who died in the First World War and the Hitchman family who still have links with the club to this present day
Members will stop to meet around the club’s memorial where wreaths will be laid by the club’s oldest and the youngest members in memory of club members who gave their lives in wars and conflicts.
Non-members are welcome o join the short act of remembrance at the boathouse next to the Tramway Bridge at 10.45am on Sunday (November 9).
