AN ENTREPRENEUR from south Warwickshire is celebrating after having won the top prize at a regional business awards.

Abigail Edmunds, who owns and runs womenswear boutique, Domino Style, which has stores in Stratford and Leamington, won the prestigious Businesswoman of the Year category in the annual Ladies First Women in Business Awards.

Abigail said she was “beyond thrilled and overjoyed” as she received her prize at a glittering ceremony at the Dallas Burston Polo Club in Leamington on Thursday June 5.

The competition celebrates excellence in business and the exceptional achievements of women in the Midlands making a difference in their industries.

This year inspirational and exceptional women in a range of industries were recognised in 20 categories including Rising Star and Woman of Courage.

Abigail continued: “I am still in shock to have received this award, especially in a room full of so many incredible and inspiring women.

“I am truly humbled and honoured. Thank you so much.

“Since taking over Domino Style eight years ago I have worked so hard to make sure the business a success in what is a very competitive and tough market.

“Our success has stemmed from the fact I don’t sit still. I’m constantly looking for new ways to make Domino Stye the go-to place for women who want style, fashion and excellent customer service. I’ve adapted to the ever-changing retail environment by bringing in new and exciting brands, developed our website, utilised the power of social media to help grow the business and most recently launched our amazing app to enhance our customers’ shopping experience.

“I opened my second boutique in Leamington in April 2022 at a time when other outlets were closing and worked hard to make it a firm fixture in the retail offering in the town.

“So to win this award and to be recognised in this way is incredible and this award means the world.”
