South Warwickshire drink drivers banned from the road

A MOTORIST from Harbury has been banned from the road after being arrested when his vehicle became stuck in the mud.

Jonathan Cleaver, from Frances Road, was arrested at just before 5pm on February 10 after his Ford Transit got stuck in the mud on the business park on Ufton Road and police were called by a member of the public.

The 38-year-old later pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis and was disqualified from driving for 34 months when he appeared at Leamington Magistrates Court on Friday April 12.

He was also sentenced to a community order requiring him to complete 250 hours unpaid supervised work in the next 12 months and ordered to pay £135 costs and a £114 victim surcharge.




Rikki Graham from Clifford Chambers has also been disqualified from driving for 38 months and fined £807 after pleading guilty to drink driving before magistrates. He was ordered to pay £135 costs and a £323 victim surcharge.

The 49-year-old was arrested at 10pm on February 11 on Shipston Road, Stratford when he was stopped by police and failed a roadside breath test.


And 20-year-old Stanley Lawrence from Old Budbrooke Road, Hampton Magna was disqualified for 15 months and fined £400 when he pleaded guilty to drink driving on the A46 Warwick By-Pass on February 11.

He was arrested at 4.20pm when officers were called to a single vehicle collision and he identified himself as the driver and failed a roadside breath test.

He was also ordered to pay £135 costs and £160 victim surcharge.
