THE SPORT Relief Mile is back – and it is coming to Stratford.

Organisers Stratford District Council are calling on people to sign up and take part in the event, which is designed to help raise money for people living across the UK and those in some of the world’s poorest communities.

Taking place on Sunday, March 20, the event will start at the sports pavillion and see participants do a one, three or six mile route along the Recreation Ground and past the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Races start at 10.30am for three- and six-mile runners and 11.15am for the one mile route.

Council active communities officer, Danny Tolhurst, said: “The Sport Relief Mile in Stratford is here and it’s your time to walk or run yourself proud.

“From little ones with their mums and dads to runners up against the clock, there’s something for everyone on this special day.”

Entry is £7 for adults, £3 for children and £17 for a family of four.

Sport Relief will run from Friday (March 18) until Sunday (March 20) this year.
