Shipston Guiding groups join in the Coronation fun

Stratford Editorial 5th May, 2023   0

GUIDING groups in Shipston are doing their bit for the King’s Coronation.

The town’s Rainbow, Brownie and Guide groups will be holding a special event on Bank Holiday Monday (May 8) as part of celebrations for the Coronation of King Charles lll.

The King, wishing to encourage as many people as possible to start volunteering within their communities, has launched The Big Help Out and Girl Guiding groups around the UK are on board.

To show everyone what the various Shipston Girl Guiding groups get up to, they will be holding a Fun Afternoon with free admission between 1pm and 4pm at Shipston Scout Hut.

The afternoon will include a ‘Mad Science’ show and an opportunity to experience a caving adventure in a special mobile caving environment.

There will also be activities like sunflower planting, lots of different crafts, a teddy and toy tombola and refreshments.
