Shakespeare puppies Romeo and Juliet meet their namesakes

Stratford Editorial 9th Apr, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

ROMEO and Juliet were seeing double in Stratford this week.

Two of the ‘Shakespeare Puppies’ guide dogs named after the Bard’s famous young lovers popped along to the Birthplace where they met their namesakes, in actors from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s resident acting troupe Shakespeare Aloud!

Qualified guide dog Juliet lives and works in Birmingham with her owner Claire, while Romeo is still undergoing training.

Shakespeare’s Puppies Appeal supports Guide Dogs for the Blind by raising money in Stratford district to name puppies after Shakespeare characters.
