School given money for all weather pitch and new play equipment

BRIDGETOWN Primary School has received £1,000 from Persimmon Homes South Midlands’ Community Champions scheme towards an all weather pitch and new play equipment.

Hannah Warner from the Friends of Bridgetown School group, said the donation would allow work to start sooner then expected on the all-weather sports pitch.

She added: “We believe it is really key that the children learn the importance of being fit and healthy as early as possible, and are encouraged to get outside and play lots of sport, and hopefully this new facility will ignite their passion.

“We have been desperately trying to raise money from a wide variety of sources including school discos, fairs, Christmas card-making and film nights, so Persimmon’s donation is a fantastic boost.”
