Rubbish Friends clean up Bishopton in Stratford

A SHOPPING trolley and six bags of litter were collected during a litter pick in Stratford.

Rubbish Friends, WCAVA, Orbit and Bishopton Community Centre joined forces to host a community litter pick alongside a community education and support event.

Volunteers old and new tidied the area and collected six bags of litter to go to landfill, three bags of recycling and a shopping trolley.

And then the residents headed to the community centre to take part in litter education activities, as well as speak to Orbit and Mind. Biffa even brought a new electric truck that families could find out about and sit in the cab.

The next litter pick is on Sunday October 8 in Clopton.
