Rotarians raise over £700 at St Nicholas Night in Alcester

BIG-hearted rotarians across Alcester and Bidford were busy over the festive period.

Alcester and Bidford Rotary Club raised over £700 at St Nicholas night.

The yule-tide event, which returned to Alcester for the first time since the pandemic, included a Santa’s Grotto complete with elves handing out gifts to youngsters. For grown-ups there was mulled wine and mince pies.

And all the cash raised will go towards Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign.

Rotarians also served up mulled wine and mince pies to the crowds at the Alcester Christmas lights switch-on.

And they collected gifts for children who would not otherwise receive anything at Christmas at a special donation event organised by Alcester Minster at Longbarn village.
