Warwickshire welcomes the return of the OVO Energy Women’s Tour on Friday.

The 151km race starts in Atherstone at 10am and finishes in Leamington at around 2pm. There will be road closures in place in both towns for most of the day on Friday.

Cyclists will pass through a number of other towns and villages in Warwickshire, with rolling road closures in place to allow  competitors to pass through safely.

Parking restrictions will be in place in Atherstone, Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth and Moreton Morrell.

Chief Inspector James Baker said: “We’re delighted the tour is returning to Warwickshire and proud to support the event.

“We’d like to ensure people have advanced warning that there will be road closures and delays on Friday so please plan your journey and give yourself plenty of time.

“If you are planning on attending the event, especially if you are going to Atherstone or Leamington, please arrive in plenty of time. There will be plenty of entertainment for all the family.”
