PEOPLE in Clifford Chambers and Milcote are set to be given a greater say on future development.
Clifford Chambers and Milcote Parish Council has submitted an application for the designation of a ‘neighbourhood area’ – the first step in securing its own Neighbourhood Plan.
Neighbourhood planning is a key component of the Government’s Localism Act, which aims to devolve greater powers to councils and neighbourhoods.
And Stratford District Council is now inviting people to comment on the proposals before it decides on the application.
If the application is agreed, residents, businesses and councillors will be encouraged to get involved creating the plan, which sets out how they would like the area to develop.
A copy of the application and a map can be viewed at www.stratford.gov.uk/nplan or at the council offices in Stratford, during office hours, or at Stratford Library.
The deadline for comments is 5pm on Friday September 25.
Comments can be made by emailing [email protected] or by writing to Planning Policy, Stratford District Council, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford, CV37 6HX.
