A REFERENDUM will give people in Wootton Wawen a chance to have their say on the future development in the village.
Wootton Wawen Neighbourhood Plan referendum will take place on November 9 to decide whether residents want to see Stratford District Council use the Wootton Wawen plan to decide planning applications in the area.
Neighbourhood plans are a key component of the Government’s Localism Act, which aims to devolve greater powers to councils and neighbourhoods. The plan will cover everything from green spaces and sustainable transport, to housing and leisure facilities.
Earlier this year the Wootton Wawen Neighbourhood Plan was independently examined and the Examiner recommended that, subject to some proposed modifications, the Plan should proceed to referendum.
The polling station, which will be open from 7am to 10pm, will be at Wootton Hall.
