A PROLIFIC south Warwickshire fundraiser is walking 30 miles to celebrate a vital charity’s 30th anniversary.
Morrisons community champion Alex Pearson will be lacing up her hiking boots for a charity walk in aid of Safeline on Friday (February 23).
It is Alex’s fourth walk for the Warwick-based charity which supports people affected by sexual abuse and rape.
And for this extra special 30th anniversary walk, she will be joined by Warwick mayor Coun Oliver Jacques and local councillor Rebecca Noonan.
Alex said: “I am proud to be able to support this charity with the support of Morrisons in the community. We have been able to raise over £5,000 in four years for the charity and Morrisons has match funded each time so we can give the charity more money.
“The one thing I have come away with since supporting Safeline is, you are privileged to not know Safeline and what it is about. I am proud to use my platform at Morrisons to highlight this amazing charity which does amazing work for those in need.”
The team will be setting off from Kenilworth Castle at 8am and heading to Stratford.
