A POLICE officer was injured after being hit by a car in Stratford.
The officer was on foot when he responded to a call raising concerns about a man at a property on Hathaway Green Road at around 6.30pm on Sunday (November 27).
The officer – who works at the Rugby-based Operational Policing Unit – received minor injuries to his hand after being hit by the car.
An investigation has been launched and a 25 year-old man from Burton-on-Trent is currently in police custody in connection with the incident. He was also arrested on suspicion of providing a positive breath test.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to call them on 101 or ring 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
