POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at Tesco Express in Alcester.

Shortly before 3am on Wednesday (July 19) officers were called to a burglary in progress at the Hopkins Precinct store.

When they arrived, four suspects fled in a light blue BMW M3. They were all wearing hoods and had covered their faces.

Following a short chase which resulted in damage to the BMW and a police car, the four made their escape on foot at Hadrians Walk.

A 20 year-old man and a 16 year-old boy were later arrested on suspicion of burglary. They are both in custody.
