A POET will be returning to Stratford to give two poetry readings.
Chris Campbell, who grew up in Bidford and attended Alcester Grammar School, will perform in two venues in the town following the publication of his second full collection.
He will be joined by poet and playwright Adam Elms at Boston Tea Party and The Coach House on Tuesday (April 14).
Both performances will include readings covering human connection and urban nature, plus more light-hearted poems.
His new collection, ‘Why I Wear My Past to Work’ explores fatherhood and a male perspective of work, illness and urban life and his books will be available to buy at the events.
He said: “We can’t wait to perform in Stratford, it’s a long time since I’ve been back and to get to perform my recent work and read with Adam is a joy – we really hope it’s an open event where we discuss poems, and poetry more generally, with the audience.”
Bothun a monthly Bristol poetry and spoken word night, Kiss The Sky, with two other poets. .
Tickets for their 2.30pm to 3.30pm Boston Tea Party and 6pm to 7pm The Coach House readings are £5 on the door.
