AFTER its future was nearly reduced to cinders 12 months ago, Stratford Food Festival was back and cooking on gas at the weekend.
Famished foodies descended en masse for the popular two day event will took place on Saturday and Sunday (September 21 and 22).
There were over 100 storeholders selling treats to tantalise the taste buds along Henley Street and Bridge Street, as well as walkabout entertainment, live cookery demonstrations and music.
And this year’s foodie extravaganza ran to order after last year’s festival faced being cancelled due to the event organisers, Cocker Hoop Creative, pulling out.
Stratford BID managed to rally around and save the event at the final hour by appointing local company LSD Promotions to run it – albeit one month later than scheduled.
