PICTURE SPECIAL: Grub's up at Stratford Food Festival

COCKTAILS, cakes and cooking demos were just some of the culinary highlights of this year’s Stratford Food Festival.

The annual foodies paradise took place in the town centre over three days from Friday (September 30) to Sunday (October 2).

Visitors were be able to “eat their way around the world” with more than 120 artisan food producers setting up stall during the event, selling everything from street food and the finest dairy products, to baked goods and sweet treats.

This was served up alongside pop-up bars, cocktail and cooking demonstrations and live music throughout.

The Demonstration Kitchen had a jam-packed line-up of chefs, cooks and mixologists willing to showcase their skills as well as the great local produce available in Stratford.

Local chefs demonstrated everything from cooking a dish from scratch to decorating a cake.

While offering respite from the constant munching, was a host of singers, dancers and entertainers.

The festival was due to take place earlier in September but was postponed by organisers Stratford BID following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
