Panto time: Cinderella comes to The Royal Spa Centre in Leamington

Stratford Editorial 1st Dec, 2022   0

IT’S PANTO season in Leamington- oh yes it is.

And this year a production of Cinderella is being put on at The Royal Spa Centre – from this weekend.

Spa Centre panto audience favourites JP McCue and Sean Dodds are leading the cast alongside Denise Pitter and Kirstie Smith as the wicked Stepsisters with the title role being played by Soleil Quarless.

Kyle Copeland is her Prince Charming and Adam Pettigrew plays Dandini with a ensemble of Chloe Evans, E Willcox and Edan Smart.

JP is delighted to be back working with some of his regular co-stars.

He said: “Panto wouldn’t be the same without my ‘Silly Boy’ Sean so I’m thrilled to be teaming up with him once again this year and to be back onstage with Kirstie and Denise as our Wicked Stepsisters is fantastic too. They are all brilliant performers and I love getting to share the stage every Christmas with them.”

Kirstie Smith is a Royal Spa Centre panto regular and this year she will be taking on the choreographing of the show for the first time as well as playing one of the Wicked Stepsisters.

She said: “I am hugely excited. I have worked with some amazing choreographers in the past and learnt so much from them I am hoping to do them justice. I’m really looking forward to bringing some of my vision to the stage this year. It’s so exciting,”

Joining the cast will be a talented Junior Ensemble.

Steve Boden from Imagine Theatre said: “We are delighted to have our Junior Ensemble back in the panto this year, it just wasn’t the same without them last season. It is so important for children to have the opportunity to perform in front of live audiences. The show this year is going to be truly magical as well as being packed full of laughter and we hope as many people in the area as possible will come and join us.”

Cinderella runs from Saturday (December 3) to Saturday December 31.

The signed performance is back too, on Friday December 30. It’s specially adapted for those who might benefit from a more relaxed environment, with a slightly shorter running time, no loud bangs and the house lights partially on.
